Private boat tour questions
How long is a private boat tour?
5 hours. Morning trips run 9:00–14:00 and afternoon trips 14:30–19:30; the afternoon trip catches the sunset all year round. You can add extra hours.
What will we see?
It depends on the route: Sugarloaf and the Urca seawall, Praia Vermelha, Copacabana from the sea, the Cagarras Islands off Ipanema, the Niterói beaches or the whole Guanabara Bay. Every route has a swim stop with the boat anchored.
Morning or afternoon?
The morning gives you more hours of sun; the afternoon trip sails back with the sunset. Some boats cost a little more in the afternoon, and the quote shows it.
Is the price per person or for the whole boat?
For the whole boat. One price covers your group, up to the boat’s capacity, plus the captain, crew and fuel for 5 hours. The WeBoat 32 costs R$ 2,300 (≈ US$ 425) on weekdays for up to 15 people: R$ 153 (≈ US$ 28) per person with a full boat.

Does the crew speak English?
Our WhatsApp support is in English, 24/7. On board, the crew speaks Portuguese and uses translation apps, and they are used to international guests. Before leaving, the captain goes over the safety rules and the route.

No. Take an Uber or taxi to “Marina da Glória” (or search “WeBoat Brasil”): the drop-off point is inside the marina parking lot, next to Santos Dumont Airport, about 15 minutes by car from Copacabana.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, at no cost, and the boats have coolers. Bring drinking water; ice can be added to your booking. To grill your own meat, book the BBQ grill (R$ 250 to R$ 600, depending on the boat): a crew member grills for you, and ice and charcoal come with it on most boats.
